On the First Saturday of each month, parishioners help the Sisters of the Poor of Jesus Christ with their ministry to feed people experiencing homelessness in the Kansas City area. Corpus Christi Eucharistic Procession
What better way to celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi - The Most Holy Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ! After the 9:00 a.m. Mass we will process around the church grounds, stopping at several places around the church campus and sharing the blessing of the Real Presence with everyone nearby. The Solemnity of Corpus Christi also marks the second year of the National Eucharistic Revival Movement. Archbishop Naumann and the Bishops of the United States are calling for a three-year grassroots revival of devotion and belief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. Archbishop Naumann and the bishops of the United States believe that God wants to see a movement of Catholics across the United States, healed, converted, formed, and unified by an encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist—and sent out in mission “for the life of the world.” To read more about the National Eucharistic Revival Movement, visit https://archkck.org/revival. Join us in the Craft Room (Convent Room 4, upstairs) for crafting and fellowship. You can work on the Bags2Mats ministry - upcycling plastic grocery bags into sleeping mats for the homeless - or bring a project of your own to work on. Men of Queen is a men's ministry designed to grow spiritually with the Holy Spirit and to strengthen the faith foundation of men so as to become better servants in Christ's Church community. Time is spent in fellowship, praying the Rosary, and discussion. All men of the parish are welcome to join any Saturday. Donuts are provided - bring your own coffee or other morning beverage!
